About Us
The Wolfberry Story
Wolfberry began with a vision to create a space where people could take a break from the hustle of daily life to enjoy food that’s both nourishing and delicious.

Located in the heart of historic Buford, Wolfberry is inspired by the desire to bring fresh, health-conscious options to the community, from vibrant açaí bowls to creative smoothies and filled crepes.
At Wolfberry, we believe that food should not only fuel the body but feed the soul —encouraging each customer to slow down, connect with others, and savor a moment of wellness. Rooted in our core values of Health, Community, and Simplicity, we’re here to be a welcoming haven for everyone seeking wholesome, flavorful food.
What sets Wolfberry apart is our commitment to authenticity and a personal touch. As a locally owned, women-led business, we’re proud to build a company centered on community and shared experiences. Our leadership team is passionate about providing healthy, quality food while fostering a welcoming and relaxing space for everyone. Unlike chain or franchise operations, Wolfberry is crafted by people who know and love this community, allowing us to adapt to the needs and tastes of our customers and community. Every bowl, smoothie, and crepe is designed with care, and we strive to make each visit feel like a vacation for the mind and taste buds.
Wolfberry’s commitment to serving the Buford area doesn’t stop at our front door. We’re proud to be a Silver Founding Partner of the recently-opened nearby non-profit Don’t Make It Weird, Inc. and a Founders Club member of Brightside Café. We also proudly support the Buford City School System Athletics Association and Buford High School Band of Wolves.

Meet Melissa
“I am super excited to bring nutritionally focused snacks to the Buford community and increase the availability of healthy and safe foods
to people who seek information and transparency about what’s in the products they are eating.”
Melissa Crowder, owner of Wolfberry, brings together a fiery passion for health, wellness, and community.
Navigating her own health and wellness journey has been an enlightening experience where she has learned invaluable tips and tricks surrounding nutrition. Feeling led to share that knowledge in a space built for learning, growing, and connection, the idea behind a healthy snack eatery was born! Marrying this healthy concept with an overall drive for wellness played a pivotal role in the design of the atmosphere – one where customers are encouraged to pause and escape into a tranquil environment. Focusing on a balance of charismatic, experienced restaurant leadership and data-driven technologies, Melissa’s management style aims to deliver a successful dining staple in Buford while enhancing the lives of everyone who steps through their door.
Meet Heather
“I’m thrilled to bring my culinary expertise to a café that focuses on health and wellness. Being able to contribute to such a thoughtfully structured menu and become part of the Buford community is a dream come true!”

Heather Allen, general manager of Wolfberry, brings a wealth
of experience and passion to her role.
With a career rooted in customer service and the restaurant industry, she has consistently earned recognition for her dedication and excellence. Heather thrives on meeting new people and learning new skills, making the journey of opening Wolfberry a natural fit. Having grown up in the Greater Atlanta area and lived across the country before settling back in Buford, Heather is excited to infuse her varied experiences and influences into Wolfberry. She is committed to connecting with local businesses to help strengthen and uplift the Buford community. Heather is also passionate about mental health advocacy, which is why Wolfberry’s partnership with Don’t Make It Weird is particularly special to her. Her favorite menu item at Wolfberry is a vibrant pitaya (dragon fruit) bowl loaded with strawberries, banana, granola, bee pollen, dried goji berries (also known as wolfberries!), and topped with coconut cream sauce.
